are associated with the Assimilator who considers that it is vital for the concept to be scrupulous (Kolb 1974). After a thorough analysis of myself, I believe that I can turn out to be a better learner by being more of a Converger. Kolb (1984) proclaims Convergers as abstract and active as they put emphasis on the applied application of notions and resolving difficulties. I feel that I should limit myself and focus only on areas where I can excel. I should improve my skills and strengthen my abilities with a particular style rather than always changing and trying to find new ways to learn. Kolb (1984) also says that “convergers prefer technical problems over interpersonal issues”. Therefore, I also believe that, to be a better learner, I should stop interfering in other people’s matters as I always tend to get carried away in what other people around me are doing. For example, I had that case with a friend in the past where she always used to tell me about her personal problems and then afterwards I found myself following her wrong path. Therefore, I believe that I can be a better learner by being a converger and making my own decisions.

To sum up, this essay has truly helped me in believing in my capabilities as a learner due to the different learning styles as defined by Kolb (1984). I happened to find an appropriate learning style which suits my abilities and I will use these learning styles in order to further succeed in my education and career in the future. I believe and completely agree with Kolb’s theory of learning style (Kolb’s 1984), as people are flexible and have different ways of thinking and ways of dealing with matters which hugely contributes to them having a different learning style. A learner, however, can also fall into more than one type of learners, like myself and the above stated examples given in this essay.
