From then on, Fox decides to destroy Gekko's plans to resume Bluestar. Darien tries to dismiss him, highlighting the money they will win and the danger of getting an enemy out of Gekko. Fox refuses to listen to his arguments and they separate, leading her to walk on him for good.
A few days later, Fox and the trade union leaders met privately with Gekko's rival Sir Laurence Wildman, who promised to take Bluestar's property and, in exchange for trade union concessions, saved him from being robbed. The next day, Fox gets his colleagues from Jackson Steinem to persuade their clients to invest in Bluestar. Using Gekko's own methods, he fled the news of Bluestar's takeover by Gekko that sends the price of the action. The union leaders then confront Gekko, warning him that they know about his plans to liquidate the company
Gekko decides to cut his losses and get out of Bluestar: "What the hell, so we make only 10 million instead of 20 million." - but Fox then gets his contacts to unload their stocks of Bluestar ... which sends the stock price down! Gekko is unable to find buyers for his own stock, "I lose millions!", And is forced to sell at a loss. Once the share price has gone down as far as possible, Wildman buys it, Bluestar says. Gekko is furious and knows who to infer.
The next day, a triumphant Fox arrives at work at Jackson Steinem & Co. where he faces the police. Apparently, Gekko informed them of the insider relations of Fox that they themselves have investigated for some time. Fox is arrested, handcuffed and led out of the office in tears.
Some time later, Bud confronts Gekko in Central Park. Gekko physically attacks Bud by rebuking him for his role at Bluestar and accuses him of ingratitude for several of his illicit trades. After the confrontation, it is revealed that Bud transformed the evidence of the state and carried a thread to record his meeting with Gekko. He turns the wired gangs on authorities, which suggest he might have a lighter penalty in exchange for helping them make a deal against Gekko. Later, Bud's parents took him down by the FDR to the New York State Supreme Court Building in the downtown area, to respond to the crimes he had committed under the influence of Gekko. Carl tells him he managed to save the airline. The film ends with Bud walking up the steps of the courthouse, knowing that if he is likely to go to prison and his career is ruined, he now has a clear conscience.
Conclusion:
The author denounces the corruption of the American high finance. Bud Fox does everything to attract the favors of Gordon Gekko, the best in the world of finance whose money is his main motivation.
It makes us discover the environment of this sector with various strategies and various corruptions. In my opinion this film is visionary because in the 80s the population did not know this sector and we can see today with financial matters like the subprime crisis or the case of "Jerome Kerviel" in France that there is always the same problems currently.
The film shows by the end that ambition and money are not the only things that matter in life.
