Solution/ Alternative: When they establish the contract, both parties must agree on the payment.

Problem 2: Then, there is a second problem. Indeed, we don’t have any information about the payment (60 days invoice date, 30 days end of the month…) Plus, we don’t know if the whole payment is instantaneous.

Solution/ Alternative: When they establish the contract, both parties must agree on the payment.

-

Price

Problem: We only have one information about the price, in fact we know the total price. But we don’t know if it’s including VAT or not. Plus, we don’t know what is the price of transport and customs duty. As we don’t have information about the incoterm, we don’t know the real price.

Solution/ Alternative: It is important to know the details of the price, the date and the type of payment. This must be done in the contract.

-

Transport

Problem: We don’t know who is paying the transporter.

Solution/ Alternative: Geodis has been chosen by Meknes. But the contract is between Geodis and Delhaize. Maybe Delhaize is paying the transporter.

STEP 3/ TRANSPORT SCHEME

-

Palletization

1 card board = 12 bottles = 17kg[pic 1]

- CP 9: 115 cm x 115 cm x 15 cm; a dead weight = 18 kg[pic 2]

Width: 115/38=2

Length: 115/57= 3

So, 2x3 =6 boxes on a pallet

- We can put on 1 pallet CP9:

6 boxes x 6 layers = 36 boxes

36 boxes x 12 bottles = 432 bottles

- Pallet’s gross weight = (17kg x 36 boxes) + 18 kg = 630 kg

- With this type of pallet, we use 40’ standard dry container (12.01 x 2.33 x 2.37 m).

233cm/ 115cm = 2[pic 3]

1201cm/115cm = 10

- 1 container 40’ can be folded:

2 x 10 = 20 pallets

- Gross weight of 1 container 40’:

- kg x 20 pallets = 12600 kg

- EUROPALETTE: 120 cm x 80 cm x 17 cm, a dead weight of 22kg [pic 4]

- We can put on 1 pallet EUROPALETTE:

4 boxes x 6 layers = 24 boxes

24 boxes x 12 bottles = 288 bottles

- Pallet’s gross weight = (17kg x 24 boxes) + 22 kg = 430 kg

- With this type of pallet, we use trailer (13.40 x 2.43 x 2.65 m).

1st method:

243cm/ 80cm = 3[pic 5]

1340cm/120cm = 11

- 1 trailer can be folded:

3 x 11 = 33 pallets

2nd method: [pic 6]

243 cm/120 cm = 2 pallets

1340 cm/ 80 cm = 16 pallets

15 pallets x 80 cm = 1200 cm

1340 cm – 1200 cm = 140 cm > 120 cm

- 1 trailer can be folded 33 pallets by turning the direction of the pallets in the last row.

- Gross weight of 1 trailer:

- kg x 33 pallets = 14190 kg

(7): time between Macaga – Brussel: t = = 28h; t = (driver’s work time: 9h/ day)[pic 25][pic 26]

- Transport cost

Purchase price = 1,08€ x 2550km = 2754€

Charges Tangier - Algesiras = 365 +25 + 280 = 670€

TOTAL = 2754€ + 670€ = 3424€
