Thanks to the sport globalization a lot of athlete can denounce the inequality in the world or more precisely in their country. Sport enable also to send a message and change the society .

Transition: Even if the sport globalization presents some advantages, it can also presents some drawbacks.

II] Negative impact

The negative impact which is the most famous is the salaries of athletes. In fact these salaries are too high for the majority of people. For example in boxing mayweather earns 105 million dollar per year. Moreover because of these excessive salaries , athletes lose the love of sport and become obsess by the money.

In drawbacks of the sport globalization we can also mention it impact on the economy of the country. For example during the fifa world cup which took place in brasil in 2014 , the Brazilian state chose to use the country’s money to build stadiums rather than solving the country’s problem.

The olympics games of 2016 are also a very good example of bad impact of the globalization because to create infrastructures for olympics games the brazilian state had to destroy favelas

and it provoc the poverty of some many people.

Besides there is an other big drawbacks in sport globalization. Because of the sport globalization , there is a delocalisation of factories and specially in Asia in order to reduce the manufacturing cost .

For example we can enounce a company like Nike which produce a specific materials for athletes, and it resorts to the overexploitation of workers , and mostly in Asia.

Conclusion

To conclude we can say that even if there are drawbacks , there are more advantages in the sport globalization. For example without the sport globalization we wouldn’t practice sport like football or basketball. Furthermore at some points it allows to bring together people. After more reflexion , we can wonder if sport is a representation of globalization inequalities.
