In the third part, the author gives his best concept of how to live separately but equally. The journalist thinks that the only viable alternative to assimilation is to have immigrants draw a line between private and public life and respect common values. I personally totally agree with the journalist because an immigrant should fit in the new place he comes to, not to cling to some traditions and then face problems such as discrimination and racism. Immigrants cling to other, more primordial group identities because” modern societies such as USA or England don’t offer the implicit, unconscious ties of community” as the author said just to say that it doesn’t provide neither help or understanding, nor love or compassion. And finally to end this article the author talks about how London (his own city) and New York are examples of how he sees cohabitation between native Americans for example and immigrants

To conclude, I would say that immigration is nowadays a phenomena that raises massive social problems. I would also add that the people of the country on the receiving end have to be understanding towards the immigrants on one hand. On the other, immigrants have to respect and honor the culture and the values of the country that hosts them. I think that while analyzing this text I understood the basics elements that represents Immigration and the main problems it has created since it beginning and as the journalist say everyone should try to integrate without forgetting their values but just draw this line that separates their private life from their public’s .
