I can say that my leadership in group work often works, but I do not know if it will work in the world of work. I did several internships but I never had a responsibility because internships in Morocco are not taken seriously. The trainee is used to do non important task and has not access to private data unlike in Spain or France for example.

I have some areas that could be improved, for example, I should work improving my strengths. Analysis will rapidly show where I need to improve skills or acquire new ones. I should put myself where my strengths can produce results and i should not waste my time cultivating skill areas where I have little competence, instead in must concentrate on my strengths and build on my strengths.

During meetings, I try to impose my way of working because I think that for me, it is the best and simple way of doing things. Sometimes it is not a good thing to do because each one is used to work with his own way and we will not benefit from its strengths. According to F.Drucker, « the first secret of effectiveness is to understand the people you work with so that you can make use of their strengths ». That is very important to keep it in mind given that not everybody understand people around him.

In order to reach what you want to achieve, you should have great and achievable objectives to arouse in you the blossoming and the enthusiasm. They actually have to be a little beyond your possibilities in order to sharpen your dynamism and thus push you to action.

At the same time they should be progressive to allow you to always improve yourself, but also boost your self-confidence.

And finally, objectives have to be delimited in time, which is crucial for you to appreciate your progress. In other words, a good goal is set within a defined time frame, otherwise it will have no interest.

There are some characteristics that the leader should have in order to manage his team in an effective way.

Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of all sustained success. Leaders are no longer afraid to take risks or make mistakes. They take thoughtful risks rather than dangerous risks, and when they evaluate their options and alternatives thoroughly." The best leaders take lessons from their mistakes and come out resolved and ready to face new challenges. Leaders inspire others with their particularly infectious enthusiasm and sympathetic finesse, passion and fervor for what they do.

And finally, empathy, self-awareness, determination, self-discipline, intuition and social skills are the keys to successful leadership and are all associated with a high level of emotional intelligence
