The cartoonist's aim is to informs us of the evolution of the mentalities because a short time ago, black people were slaves and couldn't achieved The American Dream, it was only a myth and now it has become a reality thanks one person: Barack Obama.

Finaly I'll talk about the testimonies of a old woman from Russia Isabel Belarski and three youngsters. This document is divided into two parts, the first part deal with the testimony of Isabel Belarski, she says that she arrived with her parents because they were a family of Russian Jews. They come for freedom because in their homeland they were persecuted. So we can says that before the immigrants came for freedom.

The second part deals with the three youngsters testimonies. One of them says that his parents succeeded, he says “My parents came here literally from nothing and right now, [...] they're just living great” (l.28/30). But the other two say their parents work hard for nothing. A girl says that her father have a bachelor's degree but he work hard for nothing, she uses the expression “breaking his back” and he hasn't medical benefit. She denounces the American government is no helping him while he working hard and she is very angry. The other boy says that the price of the rent is too high for his salary so he says that he works for nothing too.

I would like to end by saying that we can't really say if The American Dream is a myth or a reality because it depends on the government. Nowaday in 2017, Donald Trump is the new president of the USA and he talks about building a wall on the border between Mexico and America so he doesn't want immigration. He talks about expel two million of Mexican immigrants, so for the moment, we can say that The American Dream may become a myth.
